WANDERER
Community Standards & Event Policy
March 2026
Wanderer exists to connect people through authentic spiritual, cultural, and human experiences. For this to happen safely and respectfully, every member of our community — whether Host or Wanderer — is expected to uphold these standards. Violation of any rule may result in removal from the platform.
1. Core Community Principles
These values apply to all members without exception.
RESPECT Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of who they are, where they are on their path, or what they believe.
SAFETY The physical, emotional, and psychological safety of every participant is an absolute priority.
ACCOUNTABILITY Every member is responsible for their own behaviour and its consequences.
PRIVACY Every member's personal data is handled with care. Information shared in the context of an event — including contact details made available through the platform — is to be used only for that event's purpose.
2. Zero-Tolerance Discrimination Policy
WANDERER ENFORCES A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY AGAINST ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION. Any violation, even a single instance, may result in immediate account suspension.
2.1 Protected Characteristics
No person may be discriminated against, excluded, harassed, or treated unfavourably on the basis of:
✓Race, ethnicity, skin colour, or national origin
✓Religion, spiritual belief, or cultural tradition
✓Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
✓Sexual orientation
✓Physical or mental disability
✓Age (within legal limits)
✓Nationality or immigration status
✓Socioeconomic background or educational level
✓Physical appearance or body characteristics
✓Health status or medical conditions
✓Dietary choices or lifestyle
✓Spiritual practices or use of traditional plant medicines (where legal)
2.2 What Constitutes a Violation
✗Refusing registration or access to an event based on protected characteristics without a legitimate and documented justification.
✗Publishing event descriptions that explicitly exclude or discourage people on the basis of protected characteristics.
✗Using offensive language, stereotypes, slurs, or discriminatory epithets in any communication on the platform.
✗Deliberately creating environments that make a group of people uncomfortable based on their characteristics.
✗Promoting supremacist, hateful, or systematically exclusionary ideologies.
2.3 Legitimate Exceptions
Certain access restrictions are permitted when based on legitimate, documented reasons:
✓Activity-specific safety requirements (e.g. physical limitations for high-impact activities)
✓Age requirements imposed by law or by the nature of the event
✓Maximum participant capacity for logistical or safety reasons
✓Documented cultural or spiritual requirements, clearly stated in the event description
Any restriction must be stated transparently in the event description at the time of publication — not communicated to Attendees after registration.
3. Host Obligations and Standards
Hosts are the backbone of the Wanderer community. They are responsible for creating safe, authentic, and respectful experiences. By taking on the Host role, you agree to the following responsibilities.
3.1 Honest and Transparent Descriptions
✓Provide an accurate, complete, and non-misleading description of the event, including activities, duration, any additional costs, and physical or psychological requirements.
✓Clearly indicate if the event involves physically demanding activities, emotionally intense experiences, use of substances (where legal), or unconventional practices.
✓Specify any prerequisites for participation (e.g. prior experience, health requirements, equipment).
✓Clearly state the pricing model: fixed price, free, or donation-based. If payment is collected off-platform (cash), state this explicitly in the event description.
✓State the event language(s) so Attendees know whether they can fully participate.
✗Use misleading images, titles, or descriptions to attract participants.
3.2 Event Location and Meeting Point
✓Provide at minimum the city of the event — this is required for the event to appear on the map.
✓You may freely choose whether to publish the full venue address publicly in the listing, or to communicate it privately to confirmed Attendees only after registration.
✓For events in private residences or non-commercial spaces, sharing the exact address only with confirmed Attendees is advisable — but the choice is entirely yours.
✓Ensure the venue is safe, legal, and suitable for the expected number of participants.
The decision on how to share your event location rests entirely with you as the Host. Wanderer does not impose a specific disclosure model — only the city is required for map visibility.
3.3 Payments and Refunds
✓Clearly state your payment method (Stripe via platform, or cash/off-platform) in the event description before publication.
✓Clearly state your refund and cancellation policy in the event description.
✓If collecting cash payments, handle all financial transactions honestly and in accordance with applicable law.
✓In the event of cancellation, notify Attendees as soon as possible and process any refunds in accordance with your stated policy.
✗Collect payment via the platform and also request additional payment directly from Attendees for the same event without disclosure.
3.4 Use of Attendee Contact Data
Attendee contact data — including WhatsApp numbers and Instagram handles — made available through the Wanderer platform may be used ONLY for the specific event for which it was shared. Any other use is a serious violation of these Standards and of applicable data protection law.
✓Use Attendee WhatsApp numbers to share event logistics, exact meeting point, and event-related updates.
✓Use Attendee contact information to communicate event changes or cancellations.
✗Add Attendees to commercial mailing lists or WhatsApp groups unrelated to the event.
✗Share Attendee contact data with third parties.
✗Use Attendee data for marketing, solicitation, or promotion of other events or services without explicit opt-in consent from the Attendee.
✗Contact Attendees repeatedly after the event for non-event-related purposes.
3.5 Safety and Preparedness
✓Ensure that the event venue is safe and suitable for the expected number of participants.
✓Have a documented emergency plan and communicate it to participants where relevant.
✓Have a basic first-aid kit on-site or ensure rapid access to medical assistance.
✓For high-risk activities, ensure the presence of qualified or certified personnel.
✓Collect written informed consent from participants for activities involving physical, psychological, or legal risks.
3.6 Event Conduct
✓Welcome all participants with equal respect, regardless of their background or origin.
✓Establish and clearly communicate the rules of the event at the start of the session.
✓Intervene promptly in the event of conflicts between participants.
✓Respect participants' personal boundaries at all times.
✗Pressure participants into activities for which they have not given consent.
✗Record audio or video of participants without explicit written consent.
✗Collect participants' personal data for purposes unrelated to the event.
✗Create psychological or emotional dependency in participants through manipulative techniques.
✗Use the event as a vehicle for recruitment into undisclosed organisations.
4. Attendee Obligations and Standards
Wanderers are co-creators of every experience. Respecting the Host's rules and those of other participants is essential for a positive experience for everyone.
4.1 Before the Event
✓Read the full event description carefully before registering — including location (city), pricing model, language, and any requirements.
✓Verify that you meet all requirements specified by the Host.
✓Ask the Host any questions before registering if anything is unclear.
✓Communicate any special needs (accessibility, dietary requirements, relevant health conditions) to the Host in advance.
✓Cancel your registration with reasonable notice if you are unable to attend, respecting the stated refund policy.
4.2 Profile Information
When you register for an event, the Host will have access to your name, profile photo, and optionally your Instagram handle. This information is shared to enable the Host to manage the event safely and effectively.
✓Ensure your profile photo is a clear, accurate image of yourself.
✓Provide truthful information in your profile — including the 'About You' field if you choose to complete it.
✗Include sensitive personal information in the 'About You' field such as health conditions, mental health history, trauma, addiction, or sexual orientation. This field is displayed publicly on your profile.
Attendees cannot view the profiles of other Attendees registered to the same event. Attendee profiles and contact data are visible only to the Host of the event to which you have registered.
4.3 Following the Host's Instructions
IMPORTANT: The Host's instructions are binding during the event. Following the Host's directions is not optional — it is a condition of participation. The Host has the right to remove anyone who does not comply with the event rules.
✓Follow all safety instructions provided by the Host.
✓Respect the event's specific rules (silence, phones off, specific protocols, etc.).
✓Ask the Host's permission before taking photos or recording video during the event.
✓Respect the timing and rhythm of the event as directed by the Host.
✗Interfere with the running of the event or disturb other participants.
4.4 Respect for Other Participants
✓Treat every participant with respect and courtesy.
✓Respect the personal physical and emotional boundaries of others.
✓Maintain confidentiality regarding anything shared by other participants during the event.
✗Photograph or film other participants without their explicit consent.
✗Share social media content that identifies other participants without their consent.
✗Make comments about others' physical appearance, cultural background, spiritual practices, or personal characteristics.
4.5 Prohibited Attendee Behaviours
✗Arrive at the event under the influence of alcohol or substances not authorised by the Host.
✗Use the event context to collect other participants' contact details for commercial purposes.
✗Pressure other participants into engaging in unwanted activities.
✗Remain in the event area after being asked to leave by the Host.
✗Repeatedly contact other participants in an unwanted manner after the event.
5. Platform Communication Standards
All communications on or facilitated by the Wanderer platform — including messages, event descriptions, reviews, and any contact made using data obtained via the platform — are subject to these standards.
5.1 Respectful Communication
✓Use polite and respectful language in every interaction.
✓Express disagreements constructively and non-aggressively.
✓Give and receive feedback with openness and respect.
5.2 Prohibited Content
✗Offensive, violent, threatening, or intimidating language.
✗Spam, unsolicited messages, or unauthorised commercial promotion.
✗Sexually explicit content unrelated to the event.
✗Deliberate misinformation about events, practices, or people.
✗Content that violates the privacy of third parties.
✗Messages sent to Attendees using platform-obtained contact data for purposes unrelated to the registered event.
5.3 Reviews and Feedback
✓Reviews must be honest, based on direct personal experience, and respectful.
✗Post false reviews or orchestrate negative review campaigns.
Wanderer reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.

8. Guidelines for Spiritual and Niche Events
Wanderer stands apart through its focus on spiritual, cultural, and non-conventional experiences. These guidelines complement the general standards to protect both participants and Hosts in sensitive contexts.
8.1 Respect for Cultural and Spiritual Traditions
✓Present cultural or spiritual practices accurately, respectfully, and in context — avoiding trivialisation or superficial cultural appropriation.
✓Do not present spiritual practices as medical treatments or guarantee specific therapeutic outcomes.
✓Clearly state whether you are formally authorised or trained to conduct certain ceremonies or traditional practices.
8.2 Informed Consent for Intense Experiences
✓For events that may involve altered states of consciousness, intense emotional experiences, or physically demanding practices, obtain written informed consent from participants before the event.
✓Provide participants with all information necessary for an informed choice, including potential risks and contraindications.
✓Ensure the presence of adequate support personnel for group events with high emotional intensity components.
8.3 Substances and Traditional Plant Medicines
LEGAL NOTICE: The Host is solely responsible for the legal compliance of any substance used at their event in all applicable jurisdictions. Wanderer does not verify or guarantee the legality of such practices anywhere.
✓Explicitly state in the event description any use of substances, even if legal in the event's jurisdiction.
✓Do not administer substances to participants without their explicit prior informed consent.
✓Ensure that appropriate medical or psychological support is available during events involving substances.
✗Pressure participants into consuming substances they do not wish to take.
✗Administer substances to participants who appear to be in a vulnerable state without their clear, unimpaired consent.
9. Updates to These Guidelines
Wanderer reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time to reflect the evolution of our community and best practices in the industry. Users will be notified by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
